After the news last week that several acres of heathland went up in flames on the Studland Road. nearly taking the Purbeck Golf Club with it. I imagined that there was a similar thing going on as I drove across Stoborough Heath. Fortunately it was forestry workers burning off the residue of their harvesting in what was a series of the biggest bonfires I have ever seen.
