I've been harping on about a lack of snow here in Swanage, but boy has it been cold. There has been a report that the sea froze at Chesil beach just down the road (sea ) from us. Well although the sea didn't freeze, the sand on the foreshore in Swanage certainly did. The photo doesn't really show it very well, but it was iced up fairly well.
Panic buying at the shops!!!
What's all this about, I went to the co-op yesterday for some bread, and there was none, after enquiring I was told people were buying half a dozen loaves at a time. Lets get real here, if it wasn't for the news coverage we wouldn't even know there was a blanket of snow elsewhere in the country. Sure there might be problems but going short of food for a few days is not such a bad thing especially just after Christmas when we could all do with losing a few pounds anyway.
